It's really a shame that I go back and read my old posts and realize that my dream has yet to be realized. As a matter of fact, I think I've gotten really fat over the past few weeks! Needless to say, I will not be running the marathon this year. Perhaps, one of my biggest mistakes is making this goal to grandiose. Perhaps, what I should have done is to set a more reachable goal first, like participate in a 5K run and then build up from there. Needless to say, I should get into shape, one because summer is coming and two because I want to be healthy as well. In conclusion, I have not been running, not been exercising and generally been lazy and unhealthy, but that's ok because I will start my regiment again this weekend and I suppose every time I fail in achieving my plan, I will just try harder the next time. It is my hope though that I really do get to fulfill my dream of running the marathon sometime before I turn 30... haha, if that's possible. :)

It's been a long time since I've ran or posted here. So without further ado, I'm going to update wth has been happening to me. Let's see. Since last year, I have joined a community running club that meets on Monday, Wednesdays, and Saturdays. Most of the runners in the club are training for the marathon, so they are really good at running. I went for one of their meetings and realized the difference in capabilities. Let's just say that while running the mile (interval training), a grandma beat me!
In between, I have gone to the Z for a quick swim as well as for some running/weight lifting, but it's never consistent. I've even gone on the tangent of subscribing to the Runner's magazine in hope that something in there will inspire me to pick myself off my feet and take health and look into perspective. I mean I do recognize the importance of exercising and staying healthy, however, I guess I'm just too lazy to do it.
Perhaps, it's time to set a reachable goal again....
